Dear Students,
Welcome to Room 107 and the fourth grade. I hope to meet you at the Molin Back to School Picnic next Wednesday. I am very excited to meet you, officially, on Thursday, September 5th, and begin our year together. I hope you've had a wonderful summer. Now it's time to get ready for your new adventure at the Molin School!
We will begin the school year learning about the concepts of energy and map skills. There will be reading, writing, and math problem solving, too. We will also find time for our Explore classes: physical education, wellness, music, art, STEM, and technology.
The Molin School day starts at 8:10 am and students may start to gather as early as 7:55 am on the basketball courts adjacent to the front of the building. On the first day, all teachers will be outside to greet you and help you line up. Daily dismissal is at 2:35 pm for walkers and 2:40 pm for those riding home in a car or on the bus. On early release days, dismissal is at 11:30 am.
On the first day of school remember to bring a snack, a lunch and a drink from home or money to buy lunch, a backpack, your completed summer reading assignment (if completed), and a water bottle for your desk. Also, please bring a sweatshirt to keep on your chair in case it gets chilly because of the air conditioning. (Mrs. Day and Mr. Cote like air conditioning; Mrs. DeCoste does not.)
Please try to get a good night's sleep on Wednesday the 4th and be ready the next morning for many "get to know you" activities on our first day of school.
Keep smiling,
Mrs. Day, Mrs. DeCoste and Mr. Cote
